The Shorewood Men's Club has many special events held each year for it's members and their guest.

We start each new year on the second Wednesday after Labor Day. This is a "Welcome Back" cook out at Hubbard. Called "Fall Family Night," members cook hamburgers, hot dogs and brats with all of the trimmings for the entire family. The event is free to all members and their families.

"Steak Night/Golf Outing" follows a few weeks later. About 20 to 24 golfers/hackers head to Lincoln Park for 9 holes of golf and camaraderie. Each hole has a special prize. After the golf, we all go back to Hubbard Lodge were we enjoy a grilled steak. This is one of two nights that are "Men only." Jokes and cards follow dinner.

Over the Holidays, the Shorewood Men's Club holds a "Christmas/Holiday Dinner." This event is the highest attended event each year. Members and their wife or guest dress up and enjoy a festive dinner served at Hubbard Lodge. You will find a roaring fire in the fireplace and in previous years, the guest have been entertained by strolling musicians, harp players and caroling Girl Scouts. Must see event.

The first two weeks of January are "Bye weeks" for the club. Members and guest who want to meet go on "Brewery Tours" at local micro breweries. Lake Front Brewery has become a tradition over the years.

"Valentine's Day" is a time for everyone to dust off their dancing shoes and tuxes. This "Black tails optional" event has truly been a fun evening. Before dinner, wives or the members dates are given a rose or box of chocolates. Dinner is served by candle light with the fireplace roaring and music providing background sound. After dinner sit and enjoy a little conversation or dance the night away.

"Mardi Gras" is celebrated in grand style. Cajun food, feather mask for the ladies, enjoy a hurricane from the bar and jazz music. Beads fly as the Mardi Gras King and Queen are announced.

Green is the color of the day at our "St. Patrick's Day Party."  The Chef serves a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. After dinner, sit back and enjoy the entertainment. In the past few years, The Shorewood Men's Club the Irish Fest Choir, Finbar McCarthy, and many more.
